Defoe, a resident of Nashville, Tenn., and former resident of Houma, died Thursday, April 21, 2005. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Nashville. Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Chapel of Roses, with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park. She is survived by one daughter, Judy Gilmore; two sons, Bill Defoe and wife, Maria, and Daniel Defoe; three sisters, Thelma Moore, Lois Bathe and Jean Anderson; two brothers, Clyde Malone and Ervin Dean Malone; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Defoe. She was a member of Tusculum Hills Baptist Church.
