Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Marie Deroche Hebert of Houma; three sons, Kirby Hebert and wife, Audrey, of Gentry, Ark., Eugene Hebert and wife, Fallarie, and Alcide Hebert Jr. and wife, Sandra, of Bayou Blue; five daughters, Evelyn Trahan and husband, Euclis, of Houma, Earline Adams and husband, Evance, of Bayou Blue, Carolyn Theriot and husband, Clay, of Thibodaux, Gail Trahan and husband, Garland, of Bourg, and Mary Parker and husband, Fred, of Raceland; two brothers, Caliste Hebert and Alta Hebert of Houma; one sister, Estellina Hebert Deslatte of Georgia; 28 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 10 great- great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alcee Hebert and Belle Mahler Hebert; one grandchild, Eliska Trahan; five brothers, Willis "Bill," Leonard, Exo, Huey and Wilburt Hebert; and two sisters, Emily H. Hunter and Adeline H. Fanguy. He was a self-employed retired trapper and fur buyer and a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
