Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Samart Funeral Home in Cut Off. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Lora Cheramie Hebert; one son, Jeff Hebert and wife, Kathy L.; two daughters, Gail M. Hebert Cheramie and Sandra M. Hebert Stewart and husband, Stephen Marc; one brother, Alvin Hebert; one sister, Alverta H. Cheramie; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Romanda Cheramie Hebert; parents Early and Lucille Dufrene Hebert; one son-in-law, Peter John Cheramie; two brothers, Eroy and Surgis Hebert; and one sister, Mary Ann H. Matherne. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. He was a retired superintendent for North American Shipbuilders with 27 years experience.
