Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Gregory Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Lirette Bergeron of Houma; one son, Donald Bergeron Jr. and wife, Faye, of Houma; two daughters, Stephanie B. Breaux and husband, Kermit, of Houma and Melanie B. Clark and husband, Merlin, of Lafayette; one sister-in-law, Shirley Eschete and husband, Donald; and four grandchildren, Kyle Breaux, Erin Breaux Detiveaux, Shelley Bergeron and Allison Bergeron. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Bergeron Sr. and Nettie Bergeron; three brothers, Lester, Raymond and Henry Bergeron; and three sisters, Lydia LeCompte, Eula Mae Blanchard and Hazel Bonvillain. He was a retired leadersman for J. Ray McDermott for 36 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a parishioner of St. Gregory Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
