Dorothy Duplantis					[Photo]

Dorothy "Dot" Babin Duplantis, 75, a native and resident of Houma, died at 5:45 
a.m. Monday, May 9, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral 
Home. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, 
with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by two sons, Steven Duplantis and wife, Sue, of Houma and Jeff 
Duplantis and wife, Michelle, of Walker; one daughter, Karen Stewart and 
husband, Ray, of Montegut; one brother, Richard Babin of Wyoming; one sister, 
Jeanne Malbrough of Houma; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Joseph Duplantis; her parents, 
Wilbert Joseph Babin and Odette Babin Babin; and one brother, Freddie Babin.

She was a retired seamstress and a member of First United Methodist Church.
