Edgar Richard Jr.

Edgar Anthony Richard Jr., 62, a native of Ashland and a resident of Folsom, 
died at 1:48 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2005.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic 
Church in Houma. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the 
church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Glynn Richard of Folsom; three 
daughters, Carmen Ann Richard and husband, Perry Jr., of Schriever, Denise Fay 
Richard Madere and Laura Daisy Richard Mitch and husband, Darren, of Houma; two 
sons, David Brooks of Cameron, W.Va., and Samuel Brooks of St. Marys, Ga.; two 
brothers, Daniel Richard and Manuel Richard of Houma; four sisters, Betty R. 
Gautreaux, Doris R. Freeman, Barbara R. Pellegrin and Janet R. LeBlanc, all of 
Houma; and six grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Anthony Richard Sr. and Daisy Mary 
Voisin Richard; and one brother, Nolan Richard.

He was a retired pipeline welder with McDermott and former parishioner of Holy 
Rosary Catholic Church.
