Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Third Zion Baptist Church in Raceland. Wake service will be at 8 p.m. today at the church. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Young Men's Benevolent Society Cemetery. He is survived by his father, the Rev. Grant Hill of Gheens; one sister, Carolyn Sylvester and husband, Eddie Sr., of Thibodaux; one brother, Larry Hill of Boutte; and his grandfather, Lawless Folse of Thibodaux. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jane Folse. He served on the church program committee, was a youth choir sponsor, was on the scholarship committee and was church choir director at Third Zion Baptist Church. He was an educator at St. Charles Parish Public Schools and was the chairman of the department of mathematics, assistant band director, color guard instructor/sponsor and culture club choir sponsor. He was a former member of Louisiana State University Golden Band and was an active member in the Rejubilation Evangelical Community Choir as well as Men of Praise and Millenial Voices gospel groups. He was recognized for "Who's Who Among American's Teachers" and was Destrehan High School Teacher of the year from 2003-04 and was given a life membership of the Kappa Kappa Psi Award in 2005.
