Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Loraine Martin Pierce; two sons, Steve Pierce and wife, Roxanne, and Mark Pierce and wife, Jody; one daughter, Anita Pierce Dozar and husband, Rocky; three sisters, Verna Bergeron, Emelda Galjour and Marion Randolph; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph P. Pierce and Celishc Savoie Pierce; one son, Philip Paul Pierce; two brothers, Francis and Norman Pierce; and three sisters, Isabel Bouvier, Norma LeBlanc and Alice Broussard. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 11 years and was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post No. 8538 in Larose. He was Catholic.
