Blaylock, 85, a native of Ellisville, Ark., former resident of El Dorado, Ark., and resident of Luling, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, May 1, 2005. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to funeral time Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Luling. Religious service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Earnest Cemetery in Calhoun County, Ark. He is survived by his wife, Anna Miles Blaylock; two sons, Martin Blaylock and wife, Carman, and Kenny Blaylock; one brother, Charles Blaylock; one sister, Alma Smead; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Oscar Blaylock and Polly Butler Blaylock; two brothers, Eugene and O'Neil Blaylock; and two sisters, Christine Gardner and Margie Smead. He was retired from Monsanto after 34 years of service and was a member of the Masonic Lodge of El Dorado and a deacon at First Baptist Church in Luling.
