Visitation will be from 2 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Melancon Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Mire, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by two daughters, Crystal Lee Myers and fiance, Monty Estilette, of Opelousas and Jennifer Rose Myers of Eunice; the mother of his children, Cindy Theriot Myers of Eunice; his girlfriend, Darlene Turner of Seattle; his stepmother, Theresa Hanks Myers of Lafayette; five brothers, John Alton Myers and wife, Anna, of Lafayette, Louis Myers and wife, Pearlie, Kermit Myers and wife, Sheila, of Cibolo, Texas, Patrick Myers and wife, Sandra, and Jules Myers and wife, Vickie, of Oklahoma; three half-brothers, Wayne Myers and wife, Lisa, of Lafayette, Ricky Myers of Lafayette and Carl Myers and wife, Lee, of Fort Hood, Texas; one stepbrother, Michael "Micky" Thibodeaux and wife, Melissa, of Lafayette; and four half-sisters, Janet Myers of Lafayette, Dianne Singleton and husband, Billy, of Lafayette, Debbie Mespof and husband, Andrew "Mex," of Houma and Charlene LeBlanc and husband, Floyd, of Franklin. He was preceded in death by his father, Jules Myers; his mother, Rose Sonnier; and one stepsister, Marie Meche. He was a sales manager for Louisiana Tank and was a member of the American Petroleum Institute. He servied as a U.S. Marine in the Vietnam War.
