Juanita Thomas						[Photo]

Juanita Celestine Thomas, 70, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of 
Gibson, died at 8:01 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2005.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Beautiful Zion 
Baptist Church. Funeral service will be at noon Saturday at the church, with 
burial in Triumph Cemetery in Gibson.

She is survived by her husband, Eddie Thomas Sr. of Gibson; two sons, Eddie 
Thomas Jr. of Jonesburg, Ga., and Marvin Thomas of Houma; two daughters, Glenda 
Johnson of Gibson and Loretta Shanklin of New Orleans; one brother, Sylvester 
Celestine of Gibson; one sister, Ethel Mae Major of Raceland; eight 
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cora Brown Celestine and Sidney 
Celestine; and four brothers, George Harvey Sr., Charles Williams, Sidney 
Celestine Jr. and Eddie Celestine Sr.

She was a retired housekeeper for Lakewood Hospital and was a member of 
Beautiful Zion Baptist Church.
