Katherine Jones, 71, a native of Gibson and resident of Orange, Texas, died 
Tuesday, May 10, 2005.

A religious service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church 
in Gibson, with burial in the church cemetery. A service for her brother, 
Charles Stewart of Gibson, will be held at the same time Monday.

She is survived by one son, Sinhue Johnson of York, Penn.; five daughters, 
Kathryn Savoy of Beaumont, Texas, Shondra Perrsall, Dena Johnson and Ada Brown, 
all of York, and Ann-Toinette Preston of Houston; two brothers, George Stewart 
and David Stewart, both of Houston; one sister, Gloriatine Dillard of Baton 
Rouge; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was a dietary assistant at York Hospital in York, before moving to Orange in 
1984. She was a parishioner of St. Therese Catholic Church in Orange.
