Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife, Frances Valure Belanger of Houma; one son, LeRoy J. Belanger Jr. and wife, Amilie, of Houma; three daughters, Mary B. Bourg and husband, Raymond, of Houma, Christine B. Latshaw and husband, Ron, of Natalbany, and Katherine B. Pepper and husband, Kirk, of Schriever; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elie Belanger and Josephine Cenac Belanger; and one sister, Velma B. LeBoeuf. He was a retired police officer with 20 years of service with the Houma Police Department and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World and Fraternal Order of Police. He was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
