Hamilton, 65, a native of Morgan City and resident of Thibodaux, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005. Funeral services were held Saturday at Moses Baptist Church in Thibodaux, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her companion, Clevin Brown of Thibodaux; three daughters, Audrey Francis, Betty Hamilton and Dianne Price, all of Thibodaux; three sons, Joseph Hamilton Jr. of Belle Rose, Raymond and Patrick Hamilton, both of Thibodaux; three sisters, Leola Adams and Celestine Batiste of Labadieville and Betty Washington of Thibodaux; one brother, Joseph Tyler of Thibodaux; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hamilton Sr.; her parents, Ernest Sr. and Beatrice Singleton Tyler; two sons, Roland and Roy Hamilton; one sister, Beatrice Johnson; two brothers, Ernest Tyler Jr. and Henry Tyler; and her grandparents, Willie and Celestine Singleton. She was a member of Moses Baptist Church.
