Menard Hymel Sr.					[Photo]

Menard J. Hymel Sr., 73, a native and resident of Schriever, died Monday, May 9, 
2005.

Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Thursday at Landry's Funeral Home. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. 
Bridget Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Naquin Hymel; two sons, James Hymel and wife, 
Connie, and Menard "Brother" Hymel Jr. and wife, Nora; five daughters, Patty 
Hebert and husband, Bobby, Julie Gros and husband, Allen, Penny Hymel Utz, Kelli 
Stegall and husband, Michael, and Holly Westerman and husband, Joey; one sister, 
Lucy Zeringue; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay and Bertha Perkins Hymel; one 
brother, Ernest Hymel; eight sisters, Julia Chiasson, Irene Thibodaux, Harriet 
Benoit, Kate Hymel, Terry Zeringue, Hazel Falcon, Ruby Guedry and Doris 
Villnerve; and two grandchildren, Casie Hebert and Anita Gros.

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
