Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home. A prayer service will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife, Barbara T. Dover of Houma; three sons, Bobby Phillips and wife, Rachel, Tommy Dover and wife, Terry, of Houma and Terry Dover and wife, Beth, of Morgan City; two daughters, Jeanne Dover and friend, Teresa Groover and Tammy Guidry and husband, Sammy, of Houma; one brother, L.J. Dover and wife, Carol Ann, of Houma; one sister, Eva Cenac of Montegut; seven grandchildren, Jordy Dover, Adrienne Dover, Brandi Dover, Sarah Guidry, Jake Guidry, Brittany Phillips and Kassie Phillips; and four step-grandchildren, Kaine Guidry, Tabitha Guidry, Katie Verrett and Lauren Verrett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. Dover and Eunice T. Dover; and one sister, Iris Huff. He was a retired manager for Dresser Atlas in 1979 and Dover Grocery Store. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and member of Masonic Lodge No. 267 and the Shriner Clown Club. He was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
