Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9:15 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife, Eloise Sherrard Roessle of Houma; one son, Palmer Alan Roessle Jr. of Houston; two daughters, Melise Graham and husband, Robert, of Houston, and Ramona Miller and husband, Rick, of New Orleans; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph Roessle Sr. and Meta Wiegel Roessle; and one brother, Rudolph Roessle Jr. He was a retired major with the U.S. Marine Corps with 22 years of service and employee of South Central Bell Telephone Co. He was a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 7355, Telephone Pioneer, Marine Retired Officer Association and a volunteer at Southdown Museum and Houma Area Convention and Visitor's Bureau. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
