Peter Cheramie

Peter John Cheramie, 47, a native of Galliano and resident of Larose, died at 11 
p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2005.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday 
at Samart Funeral Home in Cut Off. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of 
the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Hebert Cheramie; his father, Joseph Cheramie; 
two daughters, Brandy Marie Cheramie Dufrene and Teagan Alexandria Cheramie; 
three brothers, David, Rodney and Andrew Cheramie; two sisters, Ramona Kirby and 
Alice Lee; and one grandchild, Alexander Dufrene.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Earline Foret Cheramie; and his 
grandparents, Theophile and Louise Cheramie, and Anatole and Alice Foret.

He was an astronomer, avid book reader, photographer, community volunteer, 
selfless caregiver, carpenter, loved knowledge and a master tinkerer.

He was Catholic.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
