Picou, 55, a native and current resident of Terrebonne Parish, died Thursday, April 28, 2005, after a battle with cancer that was filled with many highs and lows but always with her humorous and genuine personality. A memorial Mass will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. She will be missed by her extended family and close friends who will cherish times spent with her and are as follows: her mother, Elsie Eschete Picou; her siblings, Dr. Keith and Josie Mendoza Picou, sons, Kyle and Kevin, of McAllen, Texas; Bryce and Vickie Usie Picou, daughter Michelle, husband, Shea Musso, and son, Ian, and son, Ryan, of Bourg; Jana and Michael Kendrick, son, Baron, and daughters, Erika and Lori of Shreveport; Drs. Bryan and "Cissy" Brittain Picou, daughters, Megan, Sara and Catie, son, "T-Bryan," of Natchitoches; Drs. Marcia and Dan Marsh, daughters, Rachel and Audrey of Baton Rouge; and Chad and Maria Hutchinson Picou, daughters, Erin and Claire of Luling; friend and cousin, Patsy Brossette Cheron; and lifelong buddies, Michaeline Lirette, Mike LeBoeuf, of Houma and Gabriel Zehner of Springfield, Ore., who were as family to her. She was preceded in death by her father, Carbert Picou. She had a lifetime career with South Central/Northwest Pacific Bell and Q-West Communications including being the first female lineman in Houma. She was highly respected by her co-workers for her abilities and commitment to her job but most of all for her fun loving spirit, determination and concern for others.
