Summers Picou

Summers Picou, 81, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Tuesday, May 17, 
2005.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Thursday at Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday 
at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Edwina Taylor Picou; three sons, Reginald Patrick 
Picou, Ronald Summers Picou and Gregory Kevin Picou; one daughter, Alice Mary 
Gilmore; three stepchildren, Gwendolyn C. Mallet, Chester V. Christensen and 
Darlene C. Daigle; two brothers, Raymond Picou and Urban Picou; one sister, 
Patricia Clement; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick A. Picou and Alice A. Lafort 
Picou; his stepmother, Odyessa Navarre; and two brothers, Fernand Picou and 
Patrick Picou.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Bayou Region Hospice, 195 
Corporate Drive, Houma, LA 70360.
