Wilmer Watson Sr.

Wilmer J. "Jack" Watson Sr., 77, a native of Gibson and resident of New Orleans, 
died at 3 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2005.

Visitation will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Rhodes Funeral Home in New 
Orleans and from noon to funeral time Saturday at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in 
Gibson. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in 
the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Ritamae Purnell Watson; one son, Wilmer Watson Jr.; 
one daughter, Yvette C. Nicholas; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was a retired plasterer and owner of Sportsman Paradise Lounge.

He was a member of Local 93, Local Union and Sportsman Hunting Club.
