Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by two sons, Charles A. Songe and wife, Carrin, and Albert Songe III and wife, Linda; one daughter, Sheila Chauvin and husband, Jules B. Sr.; one sister, Isabell Comeaux; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Duplantis; one grandson, Charles A. Songe Jr.; three brothers, Henry, Emile and Elmore Sr.; and two sisters, Cornelia LeBouef and Nora Bussie. He was a World War II veteran. He was an avid sportsman and gardener. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
