The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= June 02. 2005 12:00AM Allen Brunet [Photo] Allen "Lal" Joseph Brunet, 58, a native of Pointe-aux-Chenes and resident of Moss Bluff, died at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2005, after a two-year battle with cancer. Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Pointe-aux-Chenes Fire Station. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Suzanna Falgout Brunet of Moss Bluff; one son, Aaron Brunet of Moss Bluff; two daughters, Shannon Brunet Mickey of Watson, and Angel Brunet Pellegrin and husband, John J. Pellegrin of Montegut; two sisters, Mary Jane Dupre' of Pointe-aux-Chenes and Mamie Lyons of Houma; and four grandchildren, Karly Allyn Mickey, Anthony Paul LeBouef, Caleb Thomas Mickey and Hailee Alexis Pellegrin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elie Brunet and Walterine Dupre Brunet; and two brothers, Gary Brunet and Douglas Brunet. He was a barge captain with Tetra Technologies Inc and worked offshore for 35 years. He started out as a rigger and worked his way up to barge captain. He was a parishioner of St. Theodore Catholic Church in Moss Bluff. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
