Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Ada Belle Anne Hester of Houma; three grandchildren, Teri Lynn Belanger Fanguy, John Robert Belanger and Monique Belanger Winkler; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Millard Hester; her parents, Robert Victoire Hebert and Leocadie Anne Duplantis Hebert; one daughter, Mary Ellen Hester Belanger; five brothers, Eldon Anthony Hebert, Randall Louis Hebert, L.J. Joseph Hebert, Huey Peter Hebert and Robert Paul Hebert; and three sisters, Ela Hebert Jaccuzzo, Jeannette Hebert Sagona and Delta Vee Hebert. At age 59, she retired as a nurse's assistant at Terrebonne General Emergency Room and was a homemaker. She enjoyed close relationships with family members in younger years and taught catechism to public-school children at St. Francis de Sales School. She assisted with St. Francis School functions and enjoyed several years a manager of St. Francis de Sales School lunch program and enjoyed ministry within framework of Catholic Church. She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
