Dan Pontiff						[Photo]

Dan C. Pontiff, 45, a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, died at 5:30 
p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time Friday at Samart Funeral Home in 
Houma. Memorial service will be at noon Friday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his parents, Gene Pontiff and Joanne B. Nicol; his stepfather, 
George A. Nicol; one son, Scotty T. Pontiff and wife, April Danos Pontiff; one 
daughter, Michelle P. Winn and husband, Weston Winn; one brother, Lester John 
Chaisson; two sisters, Karla Meche and husband, Michael, of Lafayette, and 
Evelyn Bailey of Greensack, Tenn.; and five grandchildren, Harley Pontiff, Paige 
Winn, Mason Winn, Kalen Winn and Destiny Pontiff.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Pontiff.

He was an avid bowler, fisherman and Boy Scout.

He was Catholic.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
