Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Community Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. He is survived by seven sons, Douglas Jr., Micheal Sr., Yancy Sr., Anthony, John, Jesse and Calvin Joseph Guidry; four daughters, Linda Guidry, Shirlene Hebert, Virginia Guidry and Margaret Hebert; two brothers, Lawrence and Gordan Guidry; 25 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Virginia Guidry; and six brothers, Thaddeus, Walton, Wallace, V.G., Aaron and Freddie Guidry. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran and a retired car maintenance detailer for Trapp Chevrolet. He was Catholic. In lieu of flowers, donations to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses are preferred.
