Visitation will be from 5 to to service time Monday at Greater New Salem Baptist Church in Houma. A wake service will be at 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Peter Baptist Church Cemetery in Bains. She is survived by one daughter, Estelle Williams Alvis of Houma; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Morgan; her parents, Robert Temple and Elsie Shew; one son-in-law, Vernon Alvis Sr.; two brothers, Charlie Temple Sr. and Howard Temple; and one sister, Madlean Temple. She was a Baptist and member of Greater New Salem Baptist Church. She was retired from the Terrebonne Parish School Board.
