Gilbert Dempster					[Photo]

Gilbert "Fish" Joseph Dempster, 43, a native and resident of Vacherie, died at 1 
p.m. Monday, May 30, 2005.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today at Thibodaux Funeral Home and from 8 
a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vach-erie. 
Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church 
cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Melford E. Dempster Jr. and Joan C. Dempster; 
three brothers, Randal, Roy and Ron Dempster, all of Vacherie; and two sisters, 
Pamela D. Falgoust of Vacherie and Annette D. Lisle of Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Melford Dempster, Leonise 
Dempster, Gilbert Cortez and Noelie Cortez.

He was employed by the Lafourche Basin Levee District for 20 years.
