Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at New Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Union Benevolent Cemetery. He is survived by his parents, Herbert Lee and Clara Howard; one son, Quan Smith; three daughters, Lyneisha Harris, Breontranae Smith and Junasheia Smith; five brothers, Issac Alvis of New Orleans, David Alvis, Micheal Alvis Sr., Kirk Howard and Willie Howard, all of Houma; and two sisters, Clarice and Maryland Howard, both of Houma. He was a truck driver with SWDI and was Baptist.
