Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Eloi Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Babin Brien; two sons, Jerome Brien and Kenneth Brien; two daughters, Rosalind B. Birchfield and Lisa B. Roger; two brothers, Gerald and Roy Brien; one sister, Joyce B. Pellegrin; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nine step- great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Severin Brien and Anis Matherne Brien; three brothers, Vernon, Bruce and Gordon Brien; and one sister, Yvette B. Foster. He was a parishioner of St. Eloi and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
