Janet Elaine Rachal, 50, a native and resident of Baton Rouge and former 
resident of Houma, died at 7 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2005.

Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Winnfield Funeral 
Home in Baton Rouge. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at New Light 
Baptist Church, with burial in Port Hudson Community Cemetery.

She is survived by her mother, Elnora Cornelious; two sons, Alfred Wayne Rachal 
and Brandon Charles Rachal; five sisters, Barbara W. Collins, Marilyn W. Murphy, 
Natasha J. Sterling, Cherryl L. Wallace and Annette C. Lusk; and four brothers, 
Bernard Wells, Lionel Johnson, Kenneth Johnson and Isiah Myers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie Wallace and Henry McNeely; her 
adopted father, Charley Cornelious; one sister, Delores Toussaint; and one 
brother, Darryl Johnson.

She was a school teacher in Terrebonne Parish.
