The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= June 05. 2005 12:59AM John Guidry [Photo] John "Bergh" Lindbergh Guidry, 77, a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, died at 2 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1 p.m. at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Iona Breaux Guidry of Houma; four daughters, Shelia Foret and husband, Dale, Susan Boudreaux and husband, Ray, Melanie Boudreaux and husband, Randy, and Melinda Guidry, all of Houma; one brother, Charles F. "Charlie" Guidry of Gibson; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John S. Guidry and Linda Giroir Guidry. He was a retired electrician, welder and plumber with McDermott and a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran during World War II and belonged to the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Mended Heart Association.
