Lee P. Ellender, 86, a native of Bourg and resident of Houma, died at 11:20 a.m. 
Thursday, June 2, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Samart Funeral Home in 
Houma. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

He is survived by one son, Wayne Ellender; 10 daughters, Carol Ellender, Wanda 
E. Rogers, Mary C. Ellender, Christina Ellender, Theresa E. Redmond and husband, 
Glenn Sr., Patricia Seago and husband, Van, Bonnie Welce and husband, Keith, 
Paula Hebert and husband, Jules, Winnie Falgout and husband, Barry, and Laraine 
Giroir and husband, Craig; one sister, Thelma Dideaux; two brothers, Albert 
Joseph Ellender and Elredge "Burnt Leg" Ellender; 33 grandchildren; and 20 
great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Waguesback; his parents, Lee and 
Aglae Thibodeaux Ellender; two sons, Barry F. Ellender and Darrell J. Ellender; 
one grandson, Joshua Seago; three brothers, Edward, Wilfred and Ralph Ellender; 
and three sisters, Leona LeBoeuf, Marjorie Dideaux and Hazel Williams.
