Marie Pontiff						[Photo]

Marie Virginia "Jenny" Bergeron Pontiff, 85, a native and resident of Houma, 
died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. 
Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chap-el, with burial in St. 
Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by two sons, Ed Pontiff of Kenner and Johnny Pontiff of Houma; 
one daughter, Jenny Pontiff of Houma; one brother, Leo Bergeron of Houma; three 
sisters, Theresa Guidry, Mel St. John and Gladys Dennis of Houma; and three 
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund J. Pontiff; her parents, Albert 
Bergeron and Clara Chauvin Bergeron; one brother, Charles Bergeron; and one 
sister, Stella Shawnny.

She was a homemaker and was Catholic.
