Matthew Lagarde					[Photo]

Matthew Elwood Lagarde, 42, a native and resident of Houma, died Wednesday, June 
15, 2005.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Community Funeral Home. Funeral 
service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at New St. John Baptist Church, with burial 
in Mechanicville Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Matthew and Shirley Green; one stepson, Brandon 
Lagarde; one stepdaughter, Brittany Lawson; three brothers, Ernest Lagarde and 
wife, Sadie, the Rev. Alfred Lagarde and wife, Joyce Ann, and Micheal Lagarde 
and wife, Tiffany, all of Houma; and two sisters, Patricia Smith and husband, 
Evans, of Raceland and Alfreda Parker and husband, Sylvester, of Houma.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Matthew and Alice Green and Jessie 
and Catherine Miller.

He was a member of the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, a U.S. Army veteran 
and a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He was Baptist.
