The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= June 21. 2005 12:19PM Paul Luke [Photo] Paul Alcide Luke, 74, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2005. Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Georgiana Granier Luke of Houma; three sons, Bruce Paul Luke and wife, Maria, of Reston, Va., Craig Anthony Luke and wife, Sharon, of Grand Caillou and Allan Anthony Luke and wife, Carla, of Houma; one brother, Arthur Luke of Houma; one sister, Florence L. Guidry of Grand Caillou; four grandchildren, Carlos Andres Luke, Jamie Lee Luke, Monique Ann Luke and Kira Ann Luke; one great-grandchild, Kaysia Monique Stove; three godchildren, Keith Cortez, Robert Fonseca and Ashley Granier; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Luke and Azelie Fanguy Luke; and one brother, Claude Luke Sr. He was a retired commercial fisherman and a U.S. Air Force 31st Air Borne veteran of the Korean War. He was a past member of the Grand Caillou Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the American Legion in Chauvin, Woodmen of the World in Chauvin and a member of the Bayou Coin Club which he was an avid collector. He was a member of the Elks, usher at Holy Family Church, a member of the Holy Name Society and worked at the Council of Aging. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Dulac Council 4th degree, VFW Post No. 4752, past commander and quarter master and a member of Crusillo Movement. He loved to sing and play the guitar. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
