Jackson, 84, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died at 2:05 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2005. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Community Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Greater St. Matthew Baptist Church. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Deweyville Cemetery. She is survived by her first husband, Freddie Johnson; two sisters, Louise Blanchard and Doretha Blanchard; two godchildren, Leroy Banks Jr. and Patricia Coleman; and two devoted nieces, Thelma Coleman and Elnora Bolden. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Eulis Jackson; her parents, Leona Spencer Williams and Hamilton Williams; seven brothers, Nolan Cheatham, Harry Cheatham, Robert Williams, Herman Williams Sr., John W., Jasper Sr. and Joseph Sr.; and one sister, Martha Cheatham Brown. She was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church. Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
