Bourgeois, 68, a native of Houma and resident of Raceland, died at 2:04 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2005. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church in Raceland. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Dufrene, Catherine Bordlee and Pauline Matherne; two sisters, Shirley Cotton and Ramona Scott; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond John Dufrene; her second husband, James Earl Peavey; her third husband, Claude Bourgeois; her parents, Morris and Edna Boudreaux Authement; one son, Jamie Peavey Jr.; one brother, Robert "Bobby" Authement; and one sister, Joyce Authement. She was an avid reader, a collector of ink and lead pens and enjoyed embroidering and crocheting. She was a parishioner of St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church.
