Visitation will be 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Houma. Mass will be at noon Wednesday at the church. He is survived by his wife, Margie K. Duplantis; his mother, Adele Freeman Duplantis; three sons, Carl Joseph, Cody John and Casey Duplantis; four brothers, Clayton, Marshall, Wilbert Jr. and Malcolm Duplantis; two sisters, Norma Jean Breaux and Mona Lee Wiseman; and two grandchildren, Carlie Renee and Kate Elizabeth Duplantis. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbert Paul Duplantis. He was a Catholic. He was a member of the United Veterans League, a member of Disabled American Veterans and was a member of the 82nd Airborne Infantry. He was an avid fisherman and loved woodworking. He was a carpenter and comedian. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
