Cobb, 79, a native of Clarkesdale, Miss., and long-time resident of Houma, Aberdeen, Scotland, and Ormond Beach, Fla., died at 6 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2005, in Ormond Beach. Funeral services were held in Ormond Beach. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Johanna Clark Cobb, Scottish native; six sons, Kenneth Cobb of Houma, James Cobb and wife, Debra Use', of Houma, Ronald Cobb and wife, Marina, of Stravanger, Norway, Don Cobb and wife, Jenny Steck, of Houma, Tyrus Cobb and wife, Pam, of Houma and Rene' Cobb and wife, Laura LaJaunie, of Houma; 16 grandchildren, Kenneth Jr., Kendall, Michelle, Wendy, Jade, Kristopher, Kendra, Cayla, Danielle, Charlie, Geoffrey, Courtney, Thomas, Anne Marie, Shelby and Angelina; 10 great-grandchildren; his brothers-in-law, Jackie Clark and wife, Carol, of Perth, Australia, and James Clark of Glasgow, Scotland; his former wife, Dorothy McElroy; and his three Labradors, Scamp, Rascal and Mischief. He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. and Minnie Jenkins Cobb; one brother, Thomas Cobb; one grandson, Zachary James Cobb; his father and mother- in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clark; one sister-in-law, Moira Clark; and several Labradors, all named Rebel. He was retired from Texaco after 35 years and after having run their North Sea operations for 15 years, along with being their worldwide high-pressure well troubleshooter. He was in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1947 and served with Fleet Air Wing II as a tail gunner. He traveled the world, both in his work and for pleasure. He played lots of golf, loved walking his Labs and enjoyed entertaining his many friends and loved ones. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and we all thank God for allowing us the time we had with him. All your prayers and remembrances are welcome and appreciated.
