Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. She is survived by two sons, Luxton Bruce and wife, Diane, and Gary "Moose" Bruce and wife, Gloria; one daughter, Janet Baudoin; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Bruce; one brother, Linton Vegas; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Bruce; her parents, Edward and Alexina "Cora" Pitre Vegas; one son, Jacob J. Bruce; her in-laws, Arthur "Jean" and Odelia Bruce; one brother, Roman Vegas; and two sisters, Matilda Gilbeaux and Amie Bruce. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. She was also a past member of the church's Ladies Altar Society and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Galliano. She was a homemaker.
