Gene McGuire

Gene Darnell "Hop" McGuire, 41, a native and resident of New Orleans, died 
Saturday, July 9, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Rhodes Funeral Home in 
Gretna. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with 
burial in New St. Matthews Baptist Church Cemetery in Houma.

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Marshall of Gretna; two brothers, Nile and 
Floyd Franklin; his companion, Sharlene Perry; one son, Gene Perry; one 
daughter, Raven Perry; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene McGuire Sr. of 
Houma; and one grandchild.

He was a licensed barber.
