Joseph Riviere, 90, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died at 10:10 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2005. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife, Florence Breaux Riviere; three daughters, Marlene Boudwin and husband, Timothy, Verelee Pontiff and husband, Lawrence, and Sheryl Boudreaux and husband, Julius, of Houma; nine grandchildren; and 13 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonce Riviere and Annie Bourgeois Riviere; and one sister, Esther Riviere. He was a retired painting contractor, a member of Stinkers Club and an usher and parishioner at St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
