Lester LeCompte					[Photo]

Lester Joseph LeCompte, 76, a native of Chauvin and resident of Houma, died at 
3:35 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2005.

Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the 
funeral home. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 
with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Domangue LeCompte of Houma; one son, Kevin 
LeCompte of Thibodaux; two daughters, Sandra Daigle of Houma and Leslie Barlow 
and husband, Abel, of Ville Platte; four brothers, Percy LeCompte, Aubrey 
LeCompte, Charles LeCompte of Chauvin and Chester LeCompte of Gray; two sisters, 
Helen Soudelier and Barbara Breaux and husband, J.B., of Houma; seven 
grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruffin LeCompte and America Pitre 
LeCompte; one brother, Cyrus LeCompte; and one sister, Dorothy LeCompte.

He was a retired boat captain and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
