Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. Religious service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Eloi Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Beulah Verret DeHart; one son, Michael DeHart and wife, Suzette, of Dulac; two daughters, Shirley Crowley and husband, Jim, of Houma and Betty Gautreaux and husband, Gerald, of Bayou Dularge; one brother, Murphy DeHart of Houma; eight grandchildren, Lee Landry, Brett Landry, Craig Landry, Darren Gautreaux, Audrey Gautreaux, Becky Gautreaux Redmond, Chad DeHart and Gypsy DeHart Thompson; and 13 great-grandchildren, Kevin LeBouef, Tracy LeBouef, Zachary Gautreaux, Alyssa Argo, Austin Landry, Madison Landry, Kristen Landry, Connor Landry, Alexandra Landry. Monica DeHart, Sadie Thompson, Haley Thompson and Robert Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anderson DeHart and Aurelia LaCoste DeHart; one son, Lovell "Tony" DeHart Jr.; two brothers, Earl DeHart and Irving DeHart; and three sisters, Bessie LaCoste, Hilda Champagne and Lucille Naquin. He was a retired shooter with GSI and a self-employed shrimper. He was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
