Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor cemetery in Chackbay. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eldred Martinez Durocher; four sons, Jonathon, Joseph, Richard and Bill Durocher; one daughter, Rebecca D. Babin; three brothers, Roland, Francis and Michael Durocher; two sisters, Agnes D. McMahan and Loretta D. Collins; and 12 grandchildren, Lauren, Whitney, and Caroline Babin, Jo Anne D. Barrios, and Sarah, Emily, Jonathon Jr., Drew, Alyssa, Nelson John "Jack" II, Alexander and Claire Durocher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson Joseph and Lana Tabor Durocher; one brother, Vincent Durocher; one sister, Valerie Folse; and one grandson, Richard G. Durocher Jr. He was a veteran of the Korean War and retired from Shell Oil after 35 years of service.
