The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= July 22. 2005 12:11PM Paul Vaccaro [Photo] Paul Gerald Vaccaro, 64, a native of St. Louis and resident of Houma, died at 4:56 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2005. A memorial Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Daigle Vaccaro; his mother, Genevieve Gotto Vaccaro; two sons, Paul Gerald Vaccaro Jr. and Michael Joseph Vaccaro; one daughter, Gina Marie Vaccaro; one brother, William Vaccaro; two sisters, Theresa Pulliam and Elizabeth White; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Joquimo Vaccaro; and one brother, Mark Vaccaro. He was a retired assistant professor of English at Nicholls State University, a member of St. Bernadette Knights of Columbus No. 7355 and past grand knight. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Bernadette Catholic Church or Bayou Region Hospice. He donated his body to Tulane University Medical Center for education and medical research.
