The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= July 12. 2005 2:00PM Pearly Lirette [Photo] Pearly Babin Lirette, 96, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Chauvin, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2005. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to funeral time today at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass will be at 3 p.m. today at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by four sons, Claude Lirette and wife, Merle, Clyde Lirette and wife, Myrian "Blonde", Linwood "Nacky" Lirette Sr. and wife, Merle, of Chauvin and Anthony "Jr." Lirette and wife, Theresa, of Olympia, Wash.; one daughter, Fasie Dupre and husband, Terry, of Houma; 20 grandchildren; 35 great- grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Joseph Lirette; her parents, Augustin Babin and Octavia Usie Babin; one great-grandson, Timmy Dupre Jr.; seven brothers, Sidney, Henry, Edwin, Clarence, Lawrence, Norris and Wilton Babin; and four sisters, Fabiola Authement, Hattie Portier, Corrine Duplantis and Maggie Pellegrin. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Ladies Altar Society and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
