Ronald Joseph Marcel, 73, a native of New Orleans and resident of Chacahoula, 
died Friday, July 8, 2005.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma and 
from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in 
Chacahoula. Mass will be at 10 a.m. at the church, with burial in the church 
cemetery.

He is survived by five sons, Wayne Scott, Cody Marcel and wife, Margaret, Shane 
Marcel and wife, Tammy, Arty Marcel and wife, Cindy and Troy Marcel and wife, 
Melissa; two daughters, Rose M. Bourg and Cristal Lupo and husband, Vincent; two 
brothers, Carl and Wayne Marcel; three sisters, Sylvia Matherne, Barbara 
Sullivan and Lydia Calvin; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Lecompte Marcel; his parents, Lee P. 
Marcel Sr. and Genevieve Berthelot Marcel; one brother Lee Marcel Jr.; and two 
sisters, Brenda Robichaux and Marilyn Falgout.

He was a parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
