The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= July 20. 2005 12:27PM Warren Hecard Warren "Tommy Warren" Hecard, 61, a native of New Orleans, former resident of Thibodaux and resident of Marrero, died Monday, July 18, 2005. Funeral services were scheduled for 1 p.m. today in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home in Harvey, with burial in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Joubert Hecard; one son, Christopher Hecard; one daughter, Gina H. Smith; three stepchildren, Angela Raines, Kristie Daigle and Kelly Cookmeyer; one brother, Lloyd J. Hecard; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin J. and Gladys C. Hecard; and one grandchild, Courtney Cookmeyer. He was a retired Metlife agent and lifetime member of the prestigious "Million Dollar Round Table." He was an athlete and charter member and first president of the "Varsity N Club." He served as Nicholls State University Alumni Association president and director of Alumni Affairs for two years. He was a published singer and songwriter and was inducted into the Louisiana Hall of Fame as singer/songwriter and was inducted into the Westbank Musician's Hall of Fame. He was past secretary of the New Orleans Musicians Alumni Association.
